Title: Operations Coordinator (ASL & Accessibility Service) – Hybrid
Location: St. Louis, MO (Greater St. Louis Area)
Job Type: Full-Time/Exempt 
Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 per year 
 
Job Summary 
MT & Associates is a small, woman-owned business providing professional ASL interpreting and CART captioning services that support accessible, effective communication for Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. We plan and coordinate communication access for a wide range of meetings, time-sensitive requests, and complex events, balancing multiple schedules and details to ensure services are delivered accurately, on time, and with care. 

We are seeking an Operations Coordinator to support scheduling, contractor coordination, and service delivery in a hybrid role based in the Greater St. Louis area. This role is a strong fit for candidates with experience in operations, scheduling, or event coordination, including those transitioning from ASL interpreting or other accessibility services roles. 

Responsibilities 
  • Coordinate ASL interpreting and captioning service requests from intake through completion. 
  • Plan and coordinate communication access services for meetings, conferences, events, and multi-service engagements. 
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, interpreters, captioners, and community partners. 
  • Resolve scheduling challenges, changes, cancellations, and urgent requests. 
  • Manage contractor recruiting, onboarding, and ongoing engagement activities. 
  • Support local outreach and relationship-building efforts across the St. Louis region. 
  • Monitor service quality and ensure assignments are completed with accuracy and care. 
  • Improve workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operational documentation. 
  • Coordinate high-priority and time-sensitive assignments. 
  • Contribute ideas that improve efficiency, communication, and service delivery. 
Required Qualifications 
  • 2+ years of experience in operations, scheduling, coordination, customer success, or a similar role. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Experience working with clients, vendors, or independent contractors. 
  • Proficiency with scheduling tools, email, and standard business software. 
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a distributed team. 
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model with regular in-person activities in the Greater St. Louis area. 
Preferred Qualifications 
  • Experience in interpreting services, accessibility services, staffing, or event coordination. 
  • Experience managing contractors, vendors, or service providers. 
  • Experience as an ASL interpreter or in an interpreting coordination role is a plus but not required. 
  • Familiarity with Deaf and hard-of-hearing communities or accessibility best practices. 
Hybrid Work & Physical Requirements 
  • Ability to commute within the Greater St. Louis, Missouri area for in-person meetings, events, and operational support. 
  • Reliable transportation for occasional on-site needs. 
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and communicate regularly via phone, email, and video. 
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection suitable for video meetings and cloud-based tools.
  • Dedicated, private, and professional home workspace free from excessive noise and distractions.
  • Ability to participate in video meetings with camera on.
